DOMENICA DI BRACCONAGGIO NEL CENTRO DI PALERMO - I BRACCONIERI RIPRENDONO IL PIENO POSSESSO DELLE STRADE CITTADINE
Domenica di bracconaggio nel centro di Palermo. Dopo gli interventi delle Forze dell'Ordine, gli uccellatori che ogni domenica mattina si danno appuntamento nel mercato storico di Ballarò, hanno ripreso in massa il possesso della piazza. Forse favoriti dal fine settimana "natalizio" (speransosi, cioè, di essere lasciati tranquilli) hanno occupato tutti gli angoli delle viuzze ove usualmente si installano. Decine di bracconieri e molti di più acquirenti.
Questo hanno visto i volontari di LIPU, WWF, e Legambiente che, anche il giorno di Santo Stefano, hanno ispezionato il luogo. Numerose gabbie cosìdette a "ricevitore", ovvero bassi e larghi contenitori in legno, stracolmi soprattutto di cardellini e non solo. Fringuelli, verzellini ed altri fringillidi particolarmente protetti dalla legge. Presenti anche incroci allevati tra canarini e cardellini, oltre che ad allevatori di canarini e pappagallini.

Nella città di Palermo un banchetto LIPU sarà presente in
via Cavour, nello spazio antistante PreNatal, dalle 9.30 alle 20.00.
